Joe Gore

Joe lives a double life as a musician and music writer. He's played with Tom Waits,

PJ Harvey, the Eels, Tracy Chapman, Courtney Love, DJ Shadow, and Julieta Venegas, to name a few. He has also scored films, written music for ads, and produced records in the US and abroad.

A former senior editor of Guitar Player magazine, Joe has published more than a thousand articles about music and music technology in various publications. He has interviewed many of the world's leading players, producers, and music technicians, and has also written hundreds of pieces on music gear and software, in addition to developing guitar-related content for several popular digital audio software applications.

Elise Malmberg

Elise has been involved in media, marketing, and music production for more than 20 years. She has worked in independent record distribution, in magazine

publishing at Artforum, Mix, and Electronic Musician, and as a marketing director at CNET and Dolby Laboratories.

Elise writes and edits everything from technical tutorials to profiles of artists and businesses. She is also an experienced digital audio engineer, and has composed music for films, animation, installations, and ads. She co-founded and fronted eccentric indie band Action Plus, and has produced five CDs.
